About Prayer

76Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6)
Prayer is our primary vehicle to communicate with God. It invites God’s power into our lives.
The best way to pray is to speak what is in your heart, to talk to God just as if He were in the room with you (as in fact, He is). He desires to hear each and every word you say, whether you are confused, angry and sad, or full of joy and thanksgiving. He wants you to lift all of your requests, no matter how large or small, directly to Him. In Matthew 6:9-13, Jesus taught the disciples a pattern for prayer.
“This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts (or trespasses), as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.'”
