Inclement Weather Cancellation

66Weather-Related Announcements

In the case of bad weather, the most important thing is for everyone to be safe. Please do not travel to Oregon City Church of the Nazarene for worship services or activities if you feel that doing so would be unsafe because of ice or snow conditions. If there is an actual state of emergency (declared by the Governor), services and activities will be cancelled.

We are connected with FlashAlert Newswire which puts our emergency information onto the following websites of Portland TV stations and radio stations:  katu.com; kgw.com; koin.com, kptv.com.

A determination of church program status will be made and communicated as expeditiously as possible. The goal is to make a determination by 6:00 am for morning/daytime operations and activities, and by 2:00 pm for evening activities. Sometimes there are circumstances that make these time lines unrealistic. We appreciate your understanding.

Every effort will be made to conduct both Sunday morning worship service (10:45 am) along with Sunday School (9:45 am). Only extremely hazardous weather, impassable travel conditions, severe damage to facilities, and/or a power outage at the church will cause a cancellation. If at all possible, weddings, funerals, and major one-time special events will be conducted as scheduled.
