IT JUST KEEPS COMING

Who doesn't like to do dishes? I've got my hand up. It's a never ending, repetitive job. We have a job here at the church that is just as repetitive and unending as keeping the dishes done. That's what we would like to feature today.

In addition to operating a food bank, headed by Nancy Spicer, we also have a Clothes Closet that any and all are welcome to utilize. Anyone who wishes to select clothing or shoes from our "closet" is welcome. There are no financial guidelines that have to be met. This ministry is head up by a lady who would give the energizer bunny a good run for its money. She is Carole King; she has a dedicated, compassionate heart. It's fitting, then, that this ministry is part of the Compassionate Ministries of our church.

Each week, Carol and her "crew" meet to sort and hang clothes. Carole has excellent organizational skills; it has been interesting  to watch how she has used her talent to keep upgrading the program. In addition to people who help sort and hang clothes, she has a cadre of helpers that she can call on for special assignments.

This set of four pictures was taken at the end of the work session when everyone was taking a well-deserved rest.
In addition to the regular Thursday hours, clothing and shoes are made available during the Monday night food program.
It doesn't "just happen;" a lot of people work very hard to make it all come together. We want to give a special thank you to everyone who is a part of this ministry.
