CARAVAN AWARDS CEREMONY - January 29, 2012

Caravaners get ready for the awards presentations.

                                      Pledge to the Bible:

I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God's holy Word.  I will make it a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.  I will hide its words in my heart that I might not sin against God.

Michelle Condit introduces her "Benson Buddies"

Certificate awards were given to Benson Buddies and new members received their hats!

Jean Dillon introduces her 1st grade Search-Hunter who was awarded badges for Sports & Fitness, Personal Care, Art, Prayer and Botany.  She also earned her scarf, Caravan Logo and Hunter Rank Pin.
Cathy Price introduces her 2nd Grade Searcher-Questers.  These caravaners earned the following badges:  Bike Safety, Crafts, Child of the King, Party Planning, and God Made Me.  They also earned the Quester Rank Pin.
Amanda Rosansky introduces her 3rd Grade Explorer-Sentry caravaners.  Core Value awards were:  Holiness and Evangelism.  Articles of Faiths 1, 2, 3 & 4 were received.  Badges received were for Music and Manners. 
Scott and Jill Spalding introduce their 4th Grade Explorer-Scout Caravaners.  Badges earned:  Crafts, Citizenship, Horsemanship and First Aid.  Sashes, Caravan Logos and Scout Rank Pins were also awarded.  Articles of Faith include 5, 6, 7 & 8.
Paul and Coy Vasquez introduce their 5th Grade Adventurer-Pathfinders.
These Caravaners earned the following badges:  Cooking, Nutrition, Sports, Drama and Entertaining.    They also earned their Pathfinder Rank Pins and Articles of Faith 9 & 10.  Core values earned were: Service and Compassion.
Melody Merrill introduces her 6th Grade Adventure-Trailblazers.  Badges earned were:  Environment and Personal Care and Appearance.  Core Values earned:  Education and Work.  They also received their Caravan Logos, Trailblazer Rank Pins and Articles of Faith 13, 14 & 15.

Third graders trade their scarfs for sashes to start their journey for the highest award in Caravan - the Phineas Bressee Award.
Memorizing Bible verses is part of the Caravan program.
Caravan Motto :  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."  (Proverbs 3:5-6)
